MY FUTURE ASPIRATION
My vision is to work in the field of Financial Management to enhance my growth in this industry. This would mean going back to college to study Finance to enhance my knowledge and skills. I will use the skills acquired to organize books of accounts for the women and students we work with. Small medium Enterprises (SMES) form the largest part in our country in terms of building our economy through creating employment.
For the few years that I have worked, I’ve discovered that Small upcoming medium Enterprises(SMES) face a challenge in recording their business transactions to produce a set of accounting records. Due to this, they don’t understand the importance of accounting information e.g. sales records, expenses, assets, liabilities and equity. I would start by training and enlightening the upcoming SMES on the importance of having proper records for their businesses.
I would also like to venture into hydroponic farming as a side hustle. It is a modern technique of farming whereby plants are not grown in soil but in trays by a constant flow of nutrient solution. This system requires less space, hence convenient for most people living in urban areas. Most people living in urban areas spend lots of money buying groceries from stores. I ‘d encourage people living in urban areas to plant their own food by utilizing the small space they have in their homes. This type of farming can be used at home as a kitchen garden.
Determination, courage and willingness to learn new skills form my top values in life. Armored with this, I am certain I’ll be able to help upcoming SMES organize their books of accounts and at the same time enlighten people in urban centers to grow their own food.
